What we do

Ryde Automotives provides 7 core services across Sydney and surrounding areas. Every one comes with upfront pricing and workmanship we're proud to guarantee.

Our services, in detail

Log book servicing

Manufacturer-schedule servicing that protects your warranty — without the dealership run-around.

Log book servicing at Ryde Automotives keeps your new-car warranty intact while saving you the dealership run-around. The workshop services all makes and models — petrol, diesel and LPG — following the manufacturer's schedule exactly and updating your log book every visit. It's the same schedule the dealer follows, done by a small Ryde team that explains what's due, what's not, and what can safely wait. Before any work starts you get a clear price, and if the inspection turns up something unexpected, the team calls you — often with photos — before touching anything else. Based behind the 7-Eleven on Blaxland Road, they look after drivers from Ryde, West Ryde, Gladesville, Eastwood and across the northern suburbs, with pick-up and drop-off available locally. Most services are finished the same day.

  • Warranty-safe servicing to the manufacturer's schedule
  • Clear price before work starts
  • Photos and a call if anything unexpected shows up
  • Same-day turnaround in most cases
  • Local pick-up and drop-off

Pink slips, blue slips & eSafety checks

Authorised rego inspections done on the spot — most pink slips while you wait.

Ryde Automotives is an authorised eSafety Check station, so pink slips, blue slips and rego inspections happen on the spot — most while you wait. A pink slip (eSafety Check) is the annual inspection most NSW cars over five years old need before registration renewal; a blue slip is the more detailed check for unregistered, interstate or defected vehicles. Bring the car in behind the 7-Eleven on Blaxland Road and the inspection usually takes around half an hour; call ahead and the team can often fit you in the same day — customers regularly mention exactly that in reviews. If the car passes, the result goes straight to Service NSW electronically and you're free to renew. If something needs attention, you'll get a straight explanation and a price before any repair work begins — no surprises.

  • Most pink slips done while you wait, around half an hour
  • Same-day appointments common
  • Results lodged electronically with Service NSW
  • LPG vehicle inspections included
  • Straight answers and a price before any repairs

Brakes, clutch & suspension

Squeaks, slips and clunks diagnosed honestly — fixed right, priced upfront.

Squeaking brakes, a slipping clutch or a car that wallows over bumps — Ryde Automotives diagnoses and repairs braking, clutch and suspension systems on all makes and models, from daily runabouts to 4WDs and classics. The team starts with a proper inspection and a clear quote before any work begins, and they're known for telling you when a noise is a simple fix rather than selling you parts you don't need — one local review describes exactly that: checked, sorted, and sent off with no charge for a minor issue. Work covers pads, rotors, hydraulics, clutch kits, throw-out bearings, shocks, struts, bushes and steering components, using quality parts suited to the car and your budget. If extra wear shows up mid-job, they'll call with photos and options first. Pick-up and drop-off is available around Ryde, West Ryde and Gladesville, and most jobs are turned around the same day.

  • Proper diagnosis before any parts are replaced
  • Known for not charging for simple fixes
  • Clear quote first, photos if anything changes
  • Quality parts matched to car and budget
  • Most jobs done same day

Tyres & wheel alignments

All major tyre brands fitted, with alignments that stop you chewing through rubber.

New tyres, wheel alignments and uneven-wear problems are handled in-house at Ryde Automotives, with all major tyre brands available to order and fit. Correct alignment matters more than most drivers realise: a car that's pulling or chewing a tyre edge costs you rubber and fuel every week, and it usually follows a knock, a pothole or new suspension work. The workshop measures and resets alignment to factory spec, fits and balances new tyres, and gives you an honest steer on whether you need two tyres or four — reviews mention tyre jobs bundled with blue slips done inside two hours. It all happens behind the 7-Eleven on Blaxland Road, so you can grab a coffee while the car's up on the hoist. Serving Ryde, Top Ryde, Eastwood, West Ryde and surrounding suburbs, with pick-up and drop-off if you can't spare the wait.

  • All major tyre brands supplied and fitted
  • Factory-spec alignment after knocks and suspension work
  • Honest advice — two tyres or four, not what's best for the till
  • Bundled with rego checks to save a second trip
  • Coffee at the servo while you wait

Engine diagnostics & EFI

Warning lights and rough running traced to the real fault — not fixed by guesswork.

When a warning light comes on or the car starts running rough, Ryde Automotives' electronic diagnosis finds the actual fault before any parts are replaced. Modern cars run dozens of sensors and control modules, and guessing is what makes repairs expensive — the workshop's EFI (electronic fuel injection) servicing and diagnostic equipment reads the fault codes, tests the suspect components, and confirms the cause first. You'll get a plain-English explanation of what's failed, what it costs to fix, and what happens if you leave it — then a clear price before work starts. Recent jobs range from steering racks and clutches to brake inspections on European, Japanese and Australian cars, so unusual faults are familiar territory. Based in Ryde and looking after drivers across the northern suburbs, the team can usually diagnose and quote the same day you call.

  • Fault confirmed before parts are replaced — no guesswork billing
  • Plain-English explanation of what's wrong
  • Clear price before work starts
  • European, Japanese and Australian cars all covered
  • Diagnosis and quote usually same day

LPG servicing & inspections

One of the few local workshops still set up for LPG — servicing, checks and gas rego inspections.

LPG vehicles need a mechanic who actually knows gas systems — and they're getting rare. Ryde Automotives services, repairs and inspects LPG vehicles alongside petrol and diesel, including the LPG components of rego and blue slip inspections, which must be done by someone authorised for gas work. The workshop has advertised LPG inspection and servicing on its signage for years, and it's one of the few remaining general workshops in the Ryde area still set up for it. Whether it's a dual-fuel Falcon ute that's been in the family for years or an LPG daily, the team handles routine servicing, system checks and the compliance side in one visit — no second trip to a specialist across town. You'll get a clear price before work starts and honest advice about what an older gas system is worth spending on.

  • LPG servicing and inspections under one roof
  • Authorised gas rego/blue slip inspections
  • No second trip to a gas specialist
  • Honest advice on older systems
  • Petrol, diesel and dual-fuel all welcome

Classic & performance car care

The general workshop that genuinely welcomes classics, muscle and performance cars.

Some workshops flinch when a fifty-year-old classic or a modern performance car rolls in. Ryde Automotives posts them on Facebook. The team regularly services and inspects cars most general mechanics won't touch — a showroom-condition 1970s Toyota Corolla in for its pink slip, a Mustang GT 5.0 for routine servicing, a C8 Corvette for a brake inspection — alongside the everyday fleet. Older cars need patience and mechanical feel rather than a scan tool: carburettors, points ignition, drum brakes and hard-to-find parts are normal here, and performance cars need someone who respects what they are. Whether it's a weekend muscle car, an old Japanese classic, an Aussie V8 or a European daily, the approach is the same — careful inspection, honest advice about what's urgent and what can wait, photos of anything found, and a price before spanners turn.

  • Classics, muscle and performance cars genuinely welcome
  • Old-school mechanical skills, not just scan tools
  • Honest urgent-vs-can-wait advice for older cars
  • Photos of anything found before work proceeds
  • The specialty no local website competitor claims

Common questions

Where exactly is the workshop?

You'll find us at 332 Blaxland Road, Ryde — but we're easy to miss from the street. The workshop sits behind the 7-Eleven petrol station, downstairs at the rear of the site. Drive in past the servo and head down; there's parking right at the workshop. If you're unsure, call (02) 9809 0999 and we'll talk you in.

Can I get a pink slip or blue slip while I wait?

Yes. Most eSafety Checks (pink slips) take around half an hour and are regularly done while you wait. Blue slips take longer because they're a more detailed inspection. Call ahead and we'll tell you the next gap — customers often get same-day appointments. If the car passes, the result is lodged electronically with Service NSW straight away.

Do you work on classic or performance cars?

Absolutely — they're a regular part of the workshop. Recent jobs include a 1970s Toyota Corolla pink slip, a Mustang GT 5.0 service and a C8 Corvette brake inspection, alongside everyday family cars. Older classics, Aussie muscle, Japanese icons and modern European performance cars are all welcome.

How much will it cost — and will I know before work starts?

Always. You get a clear price before any work begins, and if we find something unexpected mid-job we call you — usually with photos — to explain and re-quote before going further. The decision is always yours. It's the reason so many of our Google reviews mention honesty and fair pricing.

Can you pick up and drop off my car?

Yes, within the local area. If you're in Ryde, West Ryde, Gladesville, Eastwood or nearby, we can collect your car, service or repair it at the workshop, and return it when it's done. Just mention it when you book so we can plan the run around your job.

What are your opening hours?

We're open Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday mornings from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Closed Sundays. Saturday is popular for while-you-wait rego checks, so calling ahead is a good idea. Outside hours, send an email and we'll get back to you the next business day.
